Preparation
Before using the Clarisonic Pro, it’s important to ensure that your skin is ready for the treatment. Start by washing your face with a gentle cleanser to remove any dirt, oil, or makeup. Afterwards, pat your skin dry with a soft towel and make sure to rinse off any residue from the cleanser.
Once your skin is prepped, it’s time to start using the Clarisonic Pro:
Charge your Clarisonic Pro
Before using your Clarisonic Pro for the first time, it needs to be charged. To do this, plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet and plug the other end into the USB port on your device. A flashing battery icon will appear while it is charging and will go solid once it is fully charged. Once complete, unplug your device and you’re ready to begin using your Clarisonic Pro!
Choose the appropriate brush head
Choosing the right cleaning brush head for your Clarisonic Pro is essential for achieving optimal results. Depending on your skin type, you can choose from a variety of brushes that range in texture and softness to deliver an individualized cleaning experience tailored to your needs.
- For normal or combination skin, use a Sensitive Brush Head. As its name implies, this brush delivers gentle and refreshing cleansing action while polishing skin to reveal a brighter complexion.
- If you have dry or sensitive skin, opt for the Refining Skin Polish Brush Head. Perfect for those with delicate complexions, this ultra-soft brush features fine curved high-grade fibers that won’t irritate the skin. It replenishes natural radiance with gentle exfoliation and washes away surface cells that can cause dullness over time.
- Those with oily skin can try out the Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head, which helps free congested pores of oil buildup and refine rough textures while purifying skin with ultra deep cleansing action. Its dual-action bristles create an optimum balance between comfort and effectiveness so as to help reduce excess shine without stripping away natural moisture.
Choose the right cleanser
When selecting a cleanser to use with your Clarisonic, it’s important to choose one that will work best for your skin type. Generally speaking, foaming cleansers are the best choice; however, there are other choices depending on your specific skin needs.
- Foaming cleansers: These types of members can be used on any skin type and work particularly well with oily or combination skins since they help to absorb excess oil without stripping away all essential moisture. When using a foaming cleanser, be sure to use only a dime-sized drop when cleansing. Foamier cleansers tend to provide more lather and take longer to rinse off, so do not leave foam residue as this can lead to product build-up and clogging of pores.
- Cream Cleansers: Cream cleansers are also great for any skin type but work best in combination with foaming cleaners as they help seal in moisture into the skin while still providing enough cleansing power to keep pores free of debris and makeup residue. It’s important to note that cream cleansers should be rinsed off completely and not left on the face in order to prevent pore clogging and trapped oils or sweat beneath the surface of the skin.
- Gel Cleansers: Gel cleansers provide a light but effective way of removing dirt and oil from any type of skin (although they do not provide enough hydration for people with dry/dehydrated skins). They offer more intense cleansing than cream or foaming washes without irritating sensitive skins during exfoliation. Gels usually require more thorough rinsing due their watery, less congestion-causing formulas than those found in other products.
It is important that you select a cleaner suited for your particular needs instead of trying every new product out on the market as this could really confuse what works best for your individual skincare needs. Additionally, remember that it’s always best practice before beginning any skincare routine is to test patch an area first before fully committing!
Application
Using a Clarisonic Pro correctly is essential to ensure optimal results when you are caring for your skin. Applying the product correctly will increase the effectiveness and make your skin care more efficient and enjoyable.
Let’s explore the proper application of the Clarisonic Pro so that you can get the most out of this skincare device:
Wet your face and the brush head
Before beginning, you should wet your face with warm water and remove any makeup. Submerge the bristles of your brush head in warm water for thirty seconds. When you’re ready, apply a cleanser to the wet brush head and activate it by pressing the power button located at the back of your device.
Once you’ve activated the device, slowly spread it over your skin in a circular motion while applying gentle and consistent pressure. Remember that this is not an exfoliating tool and should be used gently; try not to press too hard against your skin as this can cause irritation and over-scrubbing. Move to another area of skin once you reach a minute before moving onto another area of your face or neck.
Once all areas are complete, turn off the device by holding down the button on the back of your Cleansing Brush, rinse off any remaining cleanser and pat dry with towel or cloth. Carefully cleanse with lukewarm water using your hands or a damp washcloth if necessary (avoiding getting moisture into the internal components). Wipe down device gently with a clean cloth; let it completely air dry prior to closing lid and storing away for next use.
Apply cleanser to the brush head
The next step in using your Clarisonic Pro is applying cleanser to the brush head. Before beginning, make sure you have a clean brush head attached. You should also make sure the device is charged and off before you begin.
Depending on what type of product you are using, it is best to consult its instructions first before adding cleanser to the bristles of your Clarisonic Pro. Foam and gel cleansers are generally ideal for the device, but certain gentle oil cleansers can also be used as long as they do not contain petroleum solvents or mineral oil.
To apply cleanser to the Clarisonic Pro brush head, start with a dime sized amount (or slightly larger if desired) of cleaner on wet skin in an upward circular motion over your face. Allow the bristles from your device to do most of the work by lightly pressing it against your skin – do not scrub hard or press too firmly into skin with this device as it can irritate sensitive areas or damage delicate skin structures like capillaries. Use gentle circular motions for about two minutes until all areas have been addressed and then rinse off with warm water before patting dry.
Turn on the Clarisonic Pro and follow the instructions
When you’re ready to use your Clarisonic Pro, start by turning it on. Press the button located at the bottom left of the device and wait for it to turn on. After approximately a minute, you will hear the device beep and then it will display a message on its LCD screen that says “Ready to Go”.
The next step is to decide how you want to use your Clarisonic Pro. You can either choose manual mode or fully automated mode. Manual mode allows you to customize which area of skin you want to target by selecting different speed settings as well as a timer that can be set according to your needs. In automatic mode, the Clarisonic Pro will select its default settings automatically based on skin type and preferences.
Once you have selected the mode, use one of the included brushes or sponges to apply cleanser or scrubbing gel onto your face in gentle circular motions for about 20 seconds per area of skin. Afterwards, rinse off your face completely with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel. Finally power off the Clarisonic Pro after every use and store in a safe place until next time!
Cleaning
Cleaning is an essential part of using your clarisonic pro. The first step is to make sure that your clarisonic pro is turned off and unplugged. To clean the brush head and handle, dampen the bristles with warm water and use a mild soap or cleanser on the brush head. Gently scrub the bristles and handle with your fingertips to remove dirt and debris, then rinse with warm water. Finally, allow the brush head and handle to air dry before using.
Clean the brush head after each use
It is important to clean your Clarisonic brush head after each use in order to prevent the transfer of bacteria, dirt and oil.
- Rinse the brush head with warm water.
- Add a small amount of mild cleanser or antibacterial soap to the bristles and massage until foamy.
- Rinse again with warm water until the foam is gone.
- For brushes with special bristles, skip this step and simply rinse thoroughly with warm water instead.
- Finally, pat dry using a soft towel or cloth.
Remember to never submerge your Clarisonic in water as this may damage the motor or electronic components of the device. To avoid bacteria build-up on your brush head, we recommend replacing it every three months or as directed by your dermatologist.
Replace the brush head every 3 months
To ensure that your Clarisonic Pro system remains effective, it is recommended that you replace the brush head every 3 months. Replacement Clarisonic Pro brush heads can be easily ordered online or obtained from a Clarisonic authorized retailer.
To replace the brush head, use a gentle twisting motion to unlock the handle and then remove the used brush head and dispose of it. Attach the new brush head by inserting it onto the handle in a gentle twisting motion until you hear a click – to ensure that it is securely attached.
Be sure to discard your old Clarisonic Pro brush head according to local waste disposal regulations; do not flush down drains or dispose of in household trash. With proper care and regular replacement, your Clarisonic Pro system will provide you with long-term satisfaction and effective clean skin for years to come.
